The EuroLeague Head Coaches Board (EHCB) was founded in 2019 and has since been an agent of progress in European basketball, uniting top-level coaches and spreading their knowledge to the next generation of basketball playcallers.

In the process, coaches from more than 100 countries have been part of the EHCB Coaches Academy, currently in its fifth generation. Those coaches came from all levels and all ways of life, including from countries where sports can be a force of change and help those who are less privileged.

That's why the EHCB takes the next step to assist those coaches who are using the sport not only as a teaching tool of values, but also as a shelter for those in need.

Through the EHCB Foundation, the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board intends to give back, using the sport of basketball to make a difference.

Helping through basketball

The EHCB believes that through basketball, young persons of any gender, race, or religion can get skills that will help them in their everyday lives.

Teamwork, discipline, respect, work ethic, and unity are values that can be nurtured via the sport, and many of the EHCB Coaches Academy alumni are already doing that in their own countries.

The EHCB considers them part of our community and feels obliged to help them. From this year, EHCB camps will be held around the world, starting from Tunisia in 2025.

We strongly believe that we can make a difference even beyond sports, and you can be part of this effort.

EHCB Foundation Gala

For this reason, for the first time during the EHCB Coaches Congress in Athens, the Euroleague Head Coaches Board will also organize the EHCB Foundation Gala in Athens, hosted by EHCB President Dimİtris Itoudis and motivational speaker Apostolos Koumarinos, which will also include a fundraising auction with unique basketball items.
