12th October 2020. Belgrade, Serbia - Euroleague Head Coaches Board is happy to announce the launch of a new online educational program for current basketball coaches which will start during mid-december 2020 and run until August 2021.

The EHCB Coaches Academy is organized together with the prestigious Basketball Coaching College Belgrade which up until now was only available in the Serbian language. This innovative educational program between  Serbia's academic experts and the EHCB member coaches will allow us to reach further around the globe, online and in English. Between December 2020 and August 2021, participating coaches will engage in online lectures from general academic courses, basketball academic courses and from the EHCB member coaches. In June 2021 participants will take place at the annual EHCB Coaches Congress where they will join coaches from around the globe and finally meet our EHCB members and each other in-person for the first time.

About the academic parter - University of Belgrade

Founded in 1808, the University of Belgrade is the oldest and largest university in Serbia, and one of the most important research centers in Europe. The Department of Basketball was established in 1946. Professor Alexander Nikolic, also known as the “father of Yugoslav Basketball”, was a student and later professor at University of Belgrade - Faculty Sport and Physical Education. He was, also, a former professional basketball player and coach and founded the coaching college to educate Serbia’s future renowned coaches including: Bozidar Maljkovic, Dusan Ivkovic and current EHCB President, Zeljko Obradovic.
